TUESDAY WOMEN'S ROLL UP
The Tuesday Women's Roll Up is open to all women members. It is a great opportunity to get to know other women members. There is no handicap limit and the format is dependent upon the number of members that play. Play commences at approximately 10.15 am. Check the tee sheet as times may vary.
Sign up on line or via the IG app before 4pm on the preceding Monday, at which time playing partners are drawn. There is no entry fee.
If capacity is available, members can play medals or other competitions in the roll-up but have to agree to playing partners being drawn. The scorecard is marked as for any other competition and the competition is 'non-qualifying' for handicap purposes UNLESS a player chooses, before teeing off, to submit a card for handicap. A player can do this so long as the course is set up to allow this, and they play either 9 or 18 holes.

WEDNESDAY 9-HOLE ROLL UP
The Wednesday 9-hole Roll Up is open to all playing members. It is a Qualifying Stableford competition with a handicap allowance of 95%. It takes place from April to the end of August, and can be played at any time of the day with a block of tee times set aside from around 4pm. Men play off yellow tees and women play of red tees. There is a £6 entry fee, which is deducted from the player's bar card. There is a weekly prize for the winners and the competitor with the highest total score from their best four cards submitted during the period of the competition wins the Jimmy Cowan Trophy.

The Wednesday 9-hole Winer Warmer Roll Up is open to all playing members. It is a Qualifying Stableford competition with a handicap allowance of 95%. It takes place from November to the end of February, and can be played at any time of the day with a block of tee times set aside from around lunchtime/early afternoon. Men play off yellow tees and women play of red tees. There is a £2 entry fee, which is deducted from the player's bar card. There is a weekly prize for the winners.

FRIDAY SHAMBLES
The Friday Shambles Roll Up is a stableford competition played off full handicap open to all playing members. There is a maximum course handicap of 30 for men and 36 for women. Over the summer, register in the clubhouse by 12.30am for the draw at 12.45am and tee times from 12:57pm. Winter hours are 10.30 meet for a first tee of 11am. Check the tee sheet as times vary over the year. Men play off white tees in the summer and yellow tees in the winter and women play of red tees. There is an £8 entry fee, which includes a free drink after the round for each player.

£10 first prize (£20 if more than 20 players), £5 second prize (£10 if more than 20 players). Draw decided on count back (last 9, then 6, 3, 1)

PENALTIES
£0.50 fine for a scrub (blob or no-score) and 1 x scrub point
£0.50 pay out for birdie and 1 x birdie point
£1.00 for an eagle and 2 x birdie points
Winner has SHAM handicap cut by 2.0 for next 3 shambles
Runner up has SHAM handicap cut by 1.0 for next 3 shambles
SHAMBLER OF THE YEAR
Awarded to the Shambler who accumulates the most stableford points from their best 5 scores over the season, which culminates on the Shambles Final Day competition in September, a one-off 18 hole stableford with prizes, a trophy and a place on the honours board, which will include halfway house refreshments and a free bar during the evening. Entry fee for this competition depends on how many Shambles you have played over the year. There are prizes too for "The Birdman" with the highest ratio of birdies, eagle points / number of Shambles played, "The Scrubber" with the highest ratio of scrubs / number of Shambles played and "The most winning player" with the most Shambles wins over the year.
BISH, BASH, BOSH CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY
Held in December this event is the club's biggest charity fund raiser with thousands of pounds (£17,500 in 2022) being raised from golf on the day, a raffle and an auction.
SUNDAY SWINDLE
The Sunday Morning Roll Up is open to all 7-day members. It is a 4BBB (pairs are drawn) stableford competition off 3/4 handicap with a maximum 18-shot playing handicap. Roll up and register in the clubhouse from 8:00am, for the draw at 8:25am and the first tee at 8.30am. Check the tee sheet, as start times may vary. Men play off white tees in the summer and yellow tees in the winter and women play of red tees. There is a £5 cash entry with an option to enter a 2's competition for another £2. Breakfast is available beforehand (not included in entry fee).
The scorecard is marked as for any other competition and the competition is 'non-qualifying' for handicap purposes UNLESS a player chooses, before teeing off, to submit a card for handicap. A player can do this so long as the course is set up to allow this, although that player cannot enter the competition if they choose to do so.
The winning pair receive a cash prize from the sweep.
